Numbers 14:22

truly, all these men who have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, but nevertheless have tested me these ten times, and have not listened to my voice.
[The number ten is a number of completeness and can be seen here as meaning that now their transgressions are complete, the measure of sin is full, therefore now comes the judgment that the adult generation that left Egypt will not be allowed to enter the Promised Land.]
