Jericho (Roman Municipal)

This municipal section was build by the Hasmoneans and Herod the Great. The residential area (old Jerico) is just north of this city. The blind men was sitting between the two districts. Jesus was "leaving" (Matt 20:29, Mark 10:46) residential Jericho, but "approaching" (Luke 18:35) the municipal Jericho, where he then meets Zachaeus.
