Genesis 32:27

Then the man asked him, "What is your name?" He replied, "Jacob." [In the Old Testament, names reflect personality. The name Jacob means "deceiver, one who lies in wait and attacks," literally "one who takes by the heel." The name thus stands for a person who deceives and betrays, something that has characterized Jacob's life and is now becoming apparent to him.]
