Second Kings 7:15

They went after them [eastward] to the Jordan. [Probably via Beth-shan, which lies along the road between Samaria and Damascus.] And behold, the whole road was full of clothing and weapons that the Arameans had thrown away in their haste. [During their flight, the Syrians had thrown away their cloaks, shields, and even swords—everything that hindered a hasty retreat.] So the messengers returned and told [all this] to the king.
