Jeremiah 38:9

"My lord and king. [Do you know what some of the courtiers have done?] These men have done evil to the prophet Jeremiah. They have thrown him into the cistern and left him there to die of hunger, now that there is no more bread in the city [because of the Babylonians' siege of Jerusalem]."
