Ezekiel 20:1

[Ezekiel's fourth collection of messages dates from the 7th to the 9th year after the exile, see verse 1 and Ezekiel 24:1. As before, it focuses on Judah's guilt and impending judgment. Each of the seven messages begins with the phrase, "The word of the Lord came to me," and ends with the phrase, "declares the Lord," or a variation thereof, see Ezek. 20:2, 45; 21:1; 22:1; 23:1; 24:1, 15.]
And it came to pass in the 7th year [after Jehoiachin's captivity, see Ezek. 1:2; 8:1] in the 5th month [of] on the 10th day of the month [August 15, 591], some of the elders of Israel came to seek (ask, appear before, worship – Hebr. darash) the Lord (Yahweh) and sat before me.
