Numbers 6:5

Throughout the period of his vow, no razor shall come upon his head until the days are fulfilled that he has set himself apart (consecrated) before the Lord (Yahweh). He shall be holy; he shall let his hair grow long. [His hair was the outward symbol that he was a Nazirite.]
