Matthew 19:21

Jesus replied, "If you want to be perfect [and truly love your neighbor as yourself, as the man claimed he did, see verse 19], go and sell what you own and give to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me." [Such an outward action would require an inner transformation. Jesus knew where the man's heart and treasure were: in his wealth, see Matt. 6:21.]
