Acts 20:13

[The journey from Troas to Miletus is described in detail. The boat trip took five days, and they sailed in a small ship along the coast and moored in port during the night.]
The rest of us went ahead and boarded the ship and sailed to Assos, where we were to pick up Paul. He had decided this, since he himself intended to take the land route. [Since the boat had to round Cape Baba, which is the westernmost point of mainland Turkey, Paul was able to take the shorter land route of 50 km and still arrive at Assos in time to board the ship.]
