Second letter to the Corinthians 1:6

If we are severely pressed (persecuted, suffer), it is for your encouragement and deliverance (salvation). If we receive encouragement (help, comfort), it is for your encouragement. It works in you when you endure the same suffering that we endure with perseverance (steadfastness, patience).
