And the princes were angry with Jeremiah and beat him and put him in prison in the house of the scribe, the house of Jehonathan, for they had made it a prison.
And now, please listen to me, my lord the king: Let my prayer come before you, I beg you, that you do not send me back to the house of Jehonathan the scribe, for I will die there."
then you shall say to them, 'I made my plea before the king that he would not let me return to the house of Jonathan to die there.
