Zechariah, the son of Meshelemiah, was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
Meshelemiah had sons:
Zech. was the firstborn,
Jediael the second,
Zebadiah the third,
Jathniel the fourth,
The lot for the east fell to Shelemiah. For his son Zechariah, who was a wise counselor, they cast lots, and for him the lot fell to the north.
