Send to all those in captivity and say, 'Thus says the Lord (Yahweh) concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you without my sending him, and he has made you believe a lie,
therefore thus says the Lord (Yahweh): Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants; he shall have no man to dwell among this people, nor shall he see the good that I will do for my people, declares (says, proclaims) the Lord (Yahweh), because he has spoken falsely against the Lord (Yahweh).
