And God (Elohim) said, "Let there be lights (light sources, light bearers – Hebr. maor) in the expanse (expansion – Hebr. raqia) to separate (distinguish) between day and night, and they shall be as signs [to indicate] gatherings (special times, feasts – Hebr. moadim) [Lev. 23] and for days and years.
