Genesis 10:8

Kush [Ham's first son, see verse 6] begot Nimrod.
He became a mighty one on earth. [The name Nimrod comes from the verb marad, which means "to rebel" and is associated with the Tower of Babel, see Gen. 11:1–9, see also 1 Chron. 1:10; Mic. 5:5.]
