Genesis 24:49

If you wish to be gracious (show loving kindness) and faithful (true) [see verse 27] to my master, tell me; but if not, tell me, so that I may turn to the right or to the left."[Mercy and truth (Hebr. chesed ve emet) are inseparable. They are always presented in the same order and are found in God's own testimony, see Ex. 34:6. Here the expression is used between people. Grace without truth becomes meaningless, while truth without grace becomes merciless.]
