Second Samuel 15:20

Yesterday you came, and today I would let you go up and down with us and see where I go? Return, and take your brothers with you in mercy and truth."
[Mercy and truth (Hebr. chesed ve emet) are inseparable. They are always presented in the same order and are found in God's own testimony, see Ex. 34:6. Grace without truth becomes useless, while truth without grace becomes merciless.]
