Nehemiah 7:3

I said to them, "Do not open the gates of Jerusalem until the sun is hot (has risen properly above the horizon). While they are still on guard (before they finish their service for the day), they shall close and bolt the doors. Also appoint residents of Jerusalem as guards, each for his own watch and each opposite his own house." [The day was divided into different watches, as they relieved each other.]
