Psalms 106:15

He gave them what they asked for,
but at the same time made their souls (person – Hebr. nefesh) become emaciated.
[Their physical desire for food and gluttony was satisfied, but at the expense of the needs of the soul. God wanted to be their satisfaction both physically and spiritually, see Num. 11:33–35]
