Psalms 31:21

Blessed (praised, worthy of praise) is the Lord (Yahweh),
for he has shown his mercy (caring love) toward me,
in a besieged city.
[Probably a picture of a situation "like a besieged city," without access to supplies and trapped without freedom, see Ps. 18:19–20. There are also purely literal applications; Jer. lived at a time when Jerusalem was under siege, see Jer. 32:1–2.]
