Psalms 46:9

He makes an end of war to the ends of the earth (puts an end to war throughout the earth),
breaks the bow [into pieces] and cuts the spear (chops it in two; splits it),
burns the chariots with fire.
[The Greek translation Septuagint has "astonishing things" instead of "destruction" in verse 9 and "shields" instead of "chariots" in verse 10.]
