Psalms 47:5

God has ascended (become exalted) amid [a clamorous] jubilation (shouting),
the Lord (Yahweh), amid [the loud] sound (voice – Hebr. qol) of the shofar (horn, trumpet).
[The same Hebrew word for to go up/ascend is also found in verse 10 and can describe a king's victory/coronation. In the context of the psalm, God has descended to save his people, and when he ascends back to his throne, he deserves praise, see also Ps. 68:18; 98:6. The text also alludes to how the Lord descended on Mount Sinai, see Ex. 19:16, 20. There is also a prophetic connection here to how Jesus descended in humility and won the victory on the cross, see also John 3:13; Eph. 4:9; 1 Thess 4:16–17.]
