Psalms 89:14

Your throne rests on (your royal rule is based on)
righteousness and justice,
mercy (caring love) and truth (faithfulness)
go before your face (characterize how you rule).
[Throughout the Bible, mercy and truth are companions, see 2 Sam. 15:20; Prov 16:6; Ps. 85:11; John 1:14. The first time these words are mentioned together is in God's own testimony, see Ex. 34:6. Grace without truth becomes ineffective, while truth without grace becomes merciless. Both grace and truth are needed, and grace always comes first.]
