Psalms 95:5

His is the sea, for he made it,
his hands formed dry land.
[Among the surrounding pagan peoples, there were different gods for different areas, but the God of Israel is one, and he rules over all creation—depths and heights, sea and land. The usual word for "dry land" is jabasha, see Gen. 1:9–10; Ex. 14:16; Josh. 4:22. Here, however, the less common jabeshet is used, which otherwise only occurs in Ex. 4:9, where God tells Moses how to take water from the river to turn it into blood on "dry land." God is greater than all the Egyptian idols! The word "dry land" also brings to mind the exodus from Egypt and how the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, a story that ties in with the warning in the latter part of the psalm.]
