Exodus 25:27

The rings shall be close to the molding; they are for the poles with which the table is to be carried.
[The fact that the rings are close to the molding shows us that what Jesus did on the cross, the rings symbolizing the nails, is intimately connected with his kingship, the molding with its decoration being the crown. When we carry the bread of Jesus to the people, we must proclaim him both as the slain lamb and as the king that he is.]
