Exodus 25:38

Its tongs and its wick trimmers shall be of pure gold.
[The tools used to care for the menorah are images of how God must purify and care for a believer in various ways. The old and bad must be removed so that the flame can shine brightly (see also John 15:2). Jesus says that we should be a light to the world around us, see Matt. 5:16.]
