Ezekiel 26:8

He will strike down your daughters in the field with the sword, and he will build (throw up) siege ramps against you and pour up an earthen ramp against you and raise up [like a wall of] shields against you.
[The author has detailed knowledge of siege warfare and ancient warfare. Excavations at Lachish in Judah have confirmed this type of earth ramp on the eastern side of the city. Tyre was difficult to capture because the city was located on an island near the coast. According to the Jewish historian Josephus, the Babylonian siege of Tyre lasted 13 years (c. 586-573 BC). A Babylonian text says that Nebuchadnezzar was present during the siege. The long siege ended with a peace treaty in which the royal family of Tyre was to be deported to Babylon. The king of Tyre was allowed to remain, but he was controlled by a Babylonian commissioner. Tyre's power was effectively exhausted by the long siege.]
