Daniel 8:4

I saw the ram charging toward the west (the sea, i.e., the Mediterranean), north, and south. [Medo-Persia expanded its empire in these three directions, but not eastward.] No wild beast [other empire] could stand against it, and no one could rescue anything from its power. It did whatever it wanted and became powerful (acted arrogantly).
