Leviticus 13:4

If the light spot turns white in the skin of his body and does not appear deeper than the skin, and if the hair on it does not turn white, then the priest shall shut him up (isolate him) who has the spot for seven days. [The initial period of quarantine was always one week when the cause of the disease was not obvious.]
