"I hate, I despise your feasts. [The two verbs reinforce each other and describe God's disgust for hypocritical religious expressions. What in Lev. 23:2 was called 'my feasts' has now become 'your feasts'.]
I take no pleasure (it is not a sweet-smelling incense offering) in your religious gatherings.
