and these men said to him, "We are unclean because of a dead man's body, so we must stand aside and cannot bring the sacrifice to the Lord (Yahweh) at the appointed time among the sons of Israel." [The Talmud states that these men had brought Joseph's coffin from Egypt, see Ex. 13:19; Josh. 24:32.]
