Matthew 11:25

[Opposition to Jesus and his disciples has grown. Despite the ridicule and contempt that believers will face, discipleship is still the only thing that can satisfy man's deepest longing. In what is obviously a public prayer, Jesus praises God in words reminiscent of Dan. 2:19–23.]
At that moment (at that time), Jesus began to speak (he answered) and said:
"I thank (praise, openly confess) you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned (know-it-alls) and revealed them to those who are like infants (immature, ignorant, helpless, unable to speak yet).
