Matthew 21:12

[It was already late when Jesus rode into Jerusalem. He saw everything that was going on there and then left Jerusalem to spend the night in Bethany, where he spent the nights, see Mark 11:11–12. Matthew, in his more thematic presentation, does not include this but continues with the main theme of Jesus entering the temple. This also fulfills Mal. 3:1, where the Lord will suddenly come to his temple. Jesus also begins to fulfill Zechariah 14:21, which states that there shall be no "merchants" in the temple.]
Jesus went to the temple [the next day] and drove out all those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
