Matthew 22:4

Again he sent out servants. [The king showed more patience than expected.] He commanded these other servants to say to those who had been invited, 'I have prepared the lunch [literally: 'the first meal of the day'; breakfast or early lunch], my oxen and fattened calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast!' [The king wanted everyone to be there from the beginning of the wedding, which often lasted up to seven days.]
