And answering, Jesus again spoke in parables to them, saying,

Has become like

to a man,,

a wedding feast

Has become like the kingdom of the heavens to a man, a king, who made a wedding feast for the son of him.
3 ἀπέστειλεν
he sent
apesteilen
κεκλημένους
invited
keklemenoys
γάμους,
wedding feast,,
gamoys,
ἤθελον
they were willing
ethelon
ἐλθεῖν.
to come..
elthein.
And he sent the servants of him to call those invited to the wedding feast, and not they were willing to come.

I have prepared,,

Again he sent other servants, saying, do say to those invited, Behold, the dinner of me I have prepared, the oxen of Me and the fatlings killed, and all things [are] ready; come to the wedding feast.

ἀπῆλθον,
they went away,,

ἐμπορίαν

And having paid no attention they went away, that [one] on one hand to [his] own field, that [one] however to the business of him.
6 κρατήσαντες
having laid hold of

ὕβρισαν
mistreated

ἀπέκτειναν.
killed [them]..
apekteinan.
And the rest, having laid hold of the servants of him, mistreated and killed [them].

βασιλεὺς
the king
basileys
ὠργίσθη,
was angry,,

πέμψας
having sent

στρατεύματα
armies
strateymata
ἀπώλεσεν
he destroyed
apolesen
ἐνέπρησεν.¶
he burned..
enepresen.
Now the king was angry, and having sent the armies of him, he destroyed the murderers those, and the city of them he burned.
8 κεκλημένοι
invited

Then he says to the servants of him, The indeed wedding feast ready is; those however invited not were worthy.

πορεύεσθε
Do go
poreyesthe
διεξόδους
thoroughfares

εὕρητε,
you shall find,,
eyrete,
καλέσατε
do invite

γάμους.
wedding feast..
gamoys.
do go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as if you shall find, do invite to the wedding feast.

ἐξελθόντες
having gone out

συνήγαγον
they brought together

εὗρον,
they found,,

ἐπλήσθη

ἀνακειμένων.¶
of those reclining..

And having gone out the servants those into the highways, they brought together all as many as they found, evil both and good; and became full the wedding hall of those reclining.

Having entered in then the king to see those reclining, he beheld there a man not being dressed himself in clothes of wedding;

he was speechless..

and he says to him, Friend, how did you enter here not having garment of wedding? And he was speechless.

weeping

Then the king said to the servants, Having bound his feet and hands, do cast out him into the darkness outer; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

Then having gone out, the Pharisees counsel took how Him they may trap in His words.
16 ἀποστέλλουσιν

Herodians,,

λέγοντες·

διδάσκαλε,
Teacher,,
didaskale,
ἀληθείᾳ

You teach,,

οὐδενός,

ἀνθρώπων.

And they send to Him the disciples of them, with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that true You are, and the way of God in [the] truth You teach, and not there is care to You about no one, not for You look on [the] appearance of men.

Is it lawful

do tell therefore us what You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 πειράζετε,
do you test,,

ὑποκριταί;

Having known however Jesus the malice of them, He said, Why Me do you test, hypocrites?
19 ἐπιδείξατέ
Do show

do show Me the coin of the tribute. And they presented to Him a denarius.

And He says to them, Of whom [is] likeness this? And [of whom is] the inscription?

On that [very] day came to Him Sadducees, saying not being a resurrection, and they questioned Him,

Teacher,,

will marry

ἀναστήσει
he will raise up

saying, Teacher, Moses said, If anyone shall die not having children, will marry the brother of him the wife of him, and he will raise up offspring for the brother of him.

There were now among us seven brothers; and the first, having married, died, and not having seed, he left the wife of him to the brother of him.

Last then of all, died the woman.

In the resurrection, therefore, of which of the seven will she be wife? All for had her.

You err,,

Scriptures,,

Answering now, Jesus said to them, You err, not having known the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

are given in marriage,,

In for the resurrection, neither do they marry, nor are given in marriage, but like angels in heaven they are.

Concerning now the resurrection of the dead, not have you read that which has been spoken to you by God, saying,

I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?’ Not He is the God of [the] dead, but of [the] living.

And having heard, the crowds were astonished at the teaching of Him.
34 Φαρισαῖοι
the Pharisees,,

He had silenced

Sadducees,,
Saddoykaioys
συνήχθησαν
were gathered

And the Pharisees, having heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, were gathered together the same.

questioned [Him]

And questioned [Him] one of them, a lawyer, testing Him,
36 διδάσκαλε,
Teacher,,

μεγάλη
[is the] greatest

Teacher, which commandment [is the] greatest in the law?

You will love

And was saying to him, You will love [the] Lord the God of you with all the heart of you, and with all the soul of you, and with all the mind of you.’

When were assembled now the Pharisees, questioned them Jesus,

saying, What you think concerning the Christ? Of whom son is He? They say to Him, Of David.
43He says to them, How then, David in spirit does call Him Lord, saying:

Said Lord to the Lord of me, do sit on [the] right hand of Me, until when I may place the enemies of You [as] a footstool for the feet of You.”’
45If therefore David calls Him Lord, how son of him is He?
46 ἀποκριθῆναι

no longer

And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor dared anyone from that [very] day to question Him no longer
