Matthew 27:57

In the evening, a rich man from Arimathea named Joseph, who had also become a disciple of Jesus, came.
[He had not yet openly confessed this, see John 19:38, probably because he was a member of the Sanhedrin, see Mark 15:43. He was born in Arimathea, which means "high place" in Hebrew and was a Jewish city, see Luke 23:51. The city is often identified with the birthplace of the prophet Samuel, Ramatayim, northwest of Jerusalem, see 1 Sam. 1:1. Ramatayim is translated into Greek as Armathaim, which is similar to Arimathea. The detail "rich man" confirms the prophecy from Isa. 53:9.]
