Matthew 9:31

But they [disobeyed his command and] went out and spread the news about him throughout that region.
[Neither this healing nor the raising of Jairus' daughter took place openly among the people, but in private, see Matt. 9:23–25. It seems that Jesus did not want to spread the word about the healings that confirmed that he was "the Son of David," the Messiah who was to come. Jesus knew that they wanted to make him king by force, see John 6:15.]
