When the Sabbath came, he taught in the synagogue. [Jesus was well known, and the synagogue leader invited him to speak at the main service on Saturday morning in Nazareth.] Many who heard him were amazed (completely overwhelmed and astonished) and said,
"Where did he get these ideas?
What wisdom has he received [without having been taught by any rabbi]?
How can he perform such powerful deeds with his hands?
