Luke 23:43

Jesus replied, "Truly (Amen), I say to you [I promise you with certainty], today you will be with me in paradise."
[Gk. paradeisos is of Persian origin and describes a landscaped garden or park. It is a peaceful and joyful place and is used in the Greek translation of the Old Testament to refer to the Garden of Eden, see Gen. 2:8. The word is used three times in the New Testament. In 2 Cor. 12:4 it describes the "third heaven," and in Rev 2:7 it refers to the restored Garden of Eden. The criminal's repentance in the last moments of his life allows him to look forward to eternity with Jesus.]
