John 6:60

Many of his disciples [not referring to the twelve, but to a larger group who initially followed Jesus, see verses 66-67] who heard this said, "This is a demanding teaching (offensive, difficult to understand). Who can listen to it?" [Who is expected to listen to someone who says, "Eat my flesh and drink my blood," see verse 53, and obey it?]
