Acts 12:23

Instead of contradicting them, he enjoyed their admiration. At once, an angel of the Lord struck him down [with a disease] because he did not give glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died. Herod Agrippa I died in 44 AD, at the age of 54. According to Josephus, the people shouted that he was a god and immortal. He neither denied nor confirmed the statement. He suffered sudden stomach pains and had to be taken to his palace, where he died after five days. It was a nasty disease that seemed to have caused his body to rot.
