Acts 18:19

[Ephesus, located at the mouth of the Kaystros River, was the fourth largest city in the Roman Empire, after Rom, Alexandria, and Antioch in Syria. The city was the capital of the entire region that is now western Turkey. The theater could seat 24,000 spectators. The most famous building was the Temple of Artemis, which in ancient times was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World.]
When they arrived at Ephesus [in Asia Minor, after sailing eastward from Corinth for three days], he left his traveling companions [Priscilla and Aquila] there. He himself went to the synagogue and engaged in conversation (dialogue) with the Jews.
