Acts 2:33

Now that he has been exalted [to God's right hand] by God's right hand (God's power) and has received (accepted) the promised Holy Spirit (the promise – the Holy Spirit) from (right next to) the Father, he has poured out (in abundance) what you both see and hear. [The Greek word for "receive" – lambano – implies a decision to willingly and actively receive something that is given; see also verse 38.]
