Acts 3:25

You are the children of the prophets and the heirs of the covenant that God made with your fathers, when he said to Abraham:
'In your offspring [singular] all the nations (the family – Gk. patria) of the earth shall be blessed.'
[Quote from Gen. 12:7; 22:18; 26:4. The word offspring is singular, but can also be used as a collective noun to describe an entire people. Abraham's promise applied both to Isaac and his descendants who became the Jewish people. In its deepest sense, it refers to the Messiah who was to come, as Paul shows in Gal. 3:16. There is no difference between salvation in the two covenants. Abraham was saved by looking forward in faith to the cross and salvation. After Jesus' death and resurrection, one is saved by looking back in faith on what Jesus has done.]
