First letter to the Corinthians 10:4

all drank the same spiritual drink,
for they drank from a spiritual rock that accompanied them,
and that rock was the Anointed One (Messiah, Christ).
[Paul says "our fathers" to both Jews and Greeks. The Jewish people who crossed the Red Sea were the ancestors of both the Gentile Christians and the Messianic Jews. Both baptism and the Lord's Supper have their clear roots and models in the Exodus from Egypt. They were in the cloud and walked through the water. That was their baptism. They ate bread from heaven and drank the water of life that flowed from the rock.]
