First letter to the Corinthians 15:12

[In this last part of Paul's letter, there is a hymn of praise to the resurrection as a parallel to the praise of the cross, see 1 Cor. 1:17–2:2. The cross and the resurrection are two sides of the same coin. The main theme of the celebration of the resurrection (Gk. egeiro) frames the passage, see verses 12 and 20, and is at the center of the chiasm, see verse 15. In total, the word is used seven times in verses 12-20.]
If the Anointed One (Messiah, Christ) is preached as risen (Gk. egeiro) from the dead,
how is it that some of you say that there is no resurrection (ascension, new life) of the dead?
