[Paul now concludes his guidelines by making it clear that marriage is a good thing and that there is nothing wrong with getting married. However, under the current circumstances in the world, starting a family will cause extra worries, which is why Paul advises against it in this situation. He is fully confident that the Lord is able to fulfill the basic longings and needs of the unmarried. Verse 36 is difficult to translate and can refer either to a father who is about to marry off his marriageable daughter or to a young man who is betrothed to a young girl. Regardless, the conclusion is the same – it is not sinful to marry.]
But if anyone thinks he is doing wrong to his daughter who is of marriageable age and wants to marry, then he should do as she wishes; he is not sinning, let them marry.
