James 1:21

You must make the decision to remove (strip off) all your impurity (filth) and all excessive evil [hatred and malice that bubbles up, manifests itself, and taints the whole soul] from your lives [permanently remove and consciously cast evil out of reach forever, just as one would take off dirty clothes]. Humbly receive (be willing and open to) the word [God's word] that is planted in you and that can save (preserve, heal) your souls.
