James 4:11

[The following passage is about "doing," see verses 11, 13, 15. The main point is that only one has the right to judge – God. The passage begins with the word "speak" and is thematically related to James 3:1–12, which deals with the tongue. Verses 11-13 also form a chiasm.]
Do not speak evil of (do not accuse, do not slander) one another, brothers and sisters (brothers and sisters in faith).
Anyone who slanders or judges another believer slanders the law [the Books of Moses – Torah] and judges the law [because Deut. 6:5 and Lev. 19:18 command us to love God and our neighbor, see Matt. 22:37–40; James 2:8].
But if you judge the law [if you yourself are not under the law], then you are not a doer of the law but [place yourself above it as] its judge.
