Joshua 14:15

Hebron was formerly called Kiriath-Arba, which was the Arba who was the greatest man among the Anakim. And the land had rest (silence, peace) from war.
[Arba is Hebrew for the number four, so Kiriath-Arba is "the city of four" or "Tetrapolis." There are various rabbinical explanations for the name: four patriarchs are buried there (Adam, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob); four matriarchs are buried there (Eve, Sarah, Rebekah, and Leah); the city was the place from which Abraham set out when he fought four kings.]
